David Nickle\u00a0is an author and journalist living and working\u00a0in Toronto. His fiction has been published in magazines, anthologies and online, and been adapted for television. In 1997, he and Edo Van Belkom won a Bram Stoker Award for their short story \u201cRat Food.\u201d In 1993, he and Karl Schroeder co-wrote \u201cThe Toy Mill\u201d and won an Aurora Award for short form work in English. Some of his stories are collected in\u00a0Monstrous Affections<\/em>, and\u00a0Knife Fight and Other Struggles<\/em>.<\/p>\n

He is the author of several novels:\u00a0Rasputin\u2019s Bastards, The \u2018Geisters,\u00a0Eutopia:\u00a0A Novel of Terrible Optimism<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Volk: A Novel of Radiant Abomination<\/em>\u00a0all available from Open Road Media.\u00a0He is married to author and futurist Madeline Ashby.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
