\"\"<\/a>Born in Mexico City<\/a>,[1]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Patricia Pearson is one of five children of Canadian diplomat Geoffrey Pearson<\/a> and former Ontario Senator Landon Pearson<\/a>, and the granddaughter of former Prime Minister<\/a> Lester Pearson<\/a>.[2]<\/a><\/sup> She was educated at Netherwood School in Rothesay, New Brunswick<\/a>, Trinity College, Toronto<\/a>, the University of Chicago<\/a>, and Columbia School of Journalism<\/a> in New York.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pearson has written for magazines such as The New Yorker<\/a>, Toronto Life<\/a>, Reader’s Digest<\/a> and Business Week<\/a>.[3]<\/a><\/sup> Her newspaper work has appeared in The Globe and Mail<\/a>, The Toronto Star<\/a>, The New York Times<\/a>, National Post<\/a>,The Guardian<\/a>, and The Daily Telegraph<\/a>.[4]<\/a><\/sup> She’s also written for CBC Television<\/a>, The History Channel and TVOntario<\/a>.[5]<\/a><\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n

Pearson resigned her weekly column at the National Post<\/i> in 2003 to protest that newspaper’s support for the Bush administration in the lead-up to the Iraq war. Her subsequent satirical writing has been hailed as “hysterically funny” by the Los Angeles Times<\/a><\/i> and \u201chighly amusing\u201d by the New York Times.[6]<\/a><\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n

Pearson has lived in New York City<\/a>, Delhi<\/a> and Moscow<\/a>, and now resides in <\/span>Toronto, Ontario<\/a> with her husband and two children.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
